Underwater Pyramid Structure Discovered off the Coast of the Azores

An underwater pyramidal structure was identified at a depth of 120 feet off the coast of Terceira Island, an island in the Azores archipelago, in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. The structure, whose proportions have been measure by sonar as perfectly symetrical, was discovered by Diocleciano Silva, a private yacht owner, while on a pleasure cruise.

The pyramid measures a stunning 180 feet in height using CPS digital technology. “The pyramid is perfectly shaped and apparently oriented by the cardinal directions,” Silva told Diário Insular.

Archeologists from the Portuguese Association of Archeological Research (APIA) believe they have discovered archeological evidence on Pico island that supports human occupation of the Azores predating Portuguese settlement by thousands of years, signifying the settlement of a currently unidentified people.
